Braunton Bowling Club was founded in 1912. Members are mainly, but not exclusively, drawn from Braunton. There are 149 playing members, of which 53 are Lady members. There are also about 70 Social members.
The clubhouse, which was completely replaced in 2000 by a modern purpose-built pavilion, is situated on the A361 Ilfracombe road. The green is considered one of the best greens in North Devon.
The Clubhouse now accommodates short mat bowling during the winter, with over 100 players taking part in 7 Club leagues as well as North Devon leagues.
